Feds Recall Freeze-Dried Eggs for Possible Salmonella Contamination

Nutriom, a food company based in Washington state, says some of its most popular products can make you sick.

The Department of Agriculture is recalling 100 tons of Nutriom’s freeze-dried eggs, called “Ova Easy,” because they might be contaminated with salmonella.

The recall is categorized as Class 1 meaning it carries a high health risk. But, no illnesses have been reported.

“Ova Easy” is commonly used at schools, restaurants, and U.S. military bases.
