Henrik Lundqvist stopped 23-of-24 shots as the Rangers held off the Penguins,
2-1, in Game Three of their East quarterfinal series in Pittsburgh. Carl Hagelin scored in the first and Chris Kreider lit the lamp in the second to help New York grab a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven set. Patric Hornqvist found the back of the net in the third for the Pens. Marc-Andre Fleury made 24 saves in defeat.
Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault said they started well and didn’t let up.
